AIS has unveiled a new PDA called the Ultra Rugged Mobile PDA that is MIL-810F compliant. The gadget is designed to withstand shock, vibration, and extreme temperatures. This water resistant PDA features a 3.7-inch Transflective TFT touchscreen LCD screen, a Marvell PXA270 624 MHz processor, a 256MB RAM, WiFi, Bluetooth, GPS, 3G, and Microsoft Windows CE 5.0 or Windows Mobile 6.1 operating system. Newsmy’s CTV8 is a combination between a portable digital TV viewer and a PMP. The combo gadget features a 4.3-inch LCD display, built-in stereo speakers, and an 8GB of storage capacity. The CTV8 also supports most of multimedia files such as AVI, FLV, WMV, MPG, MP4, ASF, MP3, and OGG. Additional features include a voice-recorder, an e-book reader, and a picture browser. Panasonic has entered the 3D Blu-ray player market by releasing the new DMP-BDT300 at Panasonic’s annual convention in Munich, Germany. This 3D Blu-ray player adopts the company’s UniPhier LSI chip allowing output of Full HD images (1080p quality) in the frame-sequential method. All you need is an active shutter pair of glasses and a 3D-ready TV to enjoy the 3D content. The new DMP-BDT300 can also upscale your old DVDs. Connectivity options include DLNA support, USB, an SD memory card slot, as well as support for JPEG, DivX Plus HD and MP3, and AVCHD, MPEG2 and JPEG content. No word yet on pricing or availability. The OpenTablet 7 is expected to be shipped in the second half of this year for unannounced price yet.

Bookeen today confirmed that the Orizon e-book reader will be launched in May 2010 in the US and the UK markets. The e-reader will feature a 6-inch multitouch Sipix display with 800 x 600 resolution, a 1GB of internal memory, a micro-SD slot, WiFi, Bluetooth, an accelerometer and a mini-USB.
